What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a series of clear, removable aligners which gradually straighten teeth. Invisalign doesn't use metal or wires, and is an invisible way to straighten teeth.

How does Invisalign work?

invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging technology to create [a series of[ custom-made, clear aligners. The aligners move teeth incrementally and are worn on the teeth for about two weeks. Then the aligners are replaced by the next in the series, and so on, until the final position is achieved.

What are the benefits of Invisalign?

  • It's clear, unlike metal braces.
  • It's removable.
  • It's comfortable.

What do the aligners look like?

They're clear and look similar to tooth-whitening trays. They're custom-made to fit your teeth.

How often must the aligners be worn?

Invisalign only works while you're wearing the aligners. It's recommended that they be worn full-time, day and night, except to eat, brush and floss your teeth.

How long does Invisalign take?

The duration of treatment depends on the severity of your case, which determines the number of aligners you need. The average duration to achieve the final results is about 12 months.

How much does Invisalign cost?

The cost of Invisalign will be based on the complexity of your case and the length of the treatment. Most dental insurance plans which cover traditional braces usually cover Invisalign to the same extent.

Only a professional cosmetic dentist can fit you with Invisalign. He or she will help determine the proper treatment for you.

Invisalign is not available over-the-counter.
